So you may have noticed that I just published a bunch of photos. The latest of them, Stony Creek Mountain, is a picture I took over the summer at our family's cabin in the Adirondacks in New York. I've been planning for the past couple of years to take that picture, frame it, and give it to my dad for Christmas, so I think this is the year to do it. Apparently my sister wants one too.
A little background on my photography... I got into photography about 2 years ago, when I bought a Pentax K-X DSLR camera. A lot of people ask why I didn't get a Canon or Nikon... My mother in law used to be into film photography back in the 70s and 80s, and she always used Pentax cameras. She had a bunch of old lenses, and it so happens that Pentax cameras have been using the same lens mount for several decades, so most of her lenses snap right onto my camera, no problems. My favorite one is her 50mm F/1.7, which is what I used to take these two shots.
